Does your website take more than 3 seconds to load?

If a website takes more than a few seconds to load – 39% of people will leave.

A big culprit of slow loading pages is image size and is one of the main mistakes people make with their websites.

Images should be resized for the size that they appear on screen – not uploaded directly from a phone or camera whose images can easily be 10 times bigger. Then they should be compressed, which usually happens by installed software upon uploading.

One of my clients has lots of customer submitted images on their website, showing success with their products.

It is essential to resize and compress all the media to keep a site speedy. This is not only done when building a website, but can be automated to happen as customers submit images to a website.

Is your site performing well? If it’s not, how would you know?

Clucking about Fresh Eggs

Holly was great at understanding what my website needed.

Her process brought out things that I hadn’t even considered.

I am very pleased with how she helped me make the right choices for my site and come up with a plan for now and the future.

Working with Holly on my website was a pleasure. I really appreciate her responsiveness to all my questions and specific needs. Her custom design completely aligns with my mission, branding, and goals. And she was able to help me clarify the most important elements of my extensive content and make it manageable.

I am thoroughly pleased! When she sent me the Owner’s Manual for the website, I felt like she’d handed me keys to my new car! I absolutely recommend her services to others!!
